Bob Vila, eat your heart out

After a great deal of procrastination on the part of yours truly, the Great Bathroom Remodel Project of 2003, Phase One, is nearing a close. It’s been a while since the last update, but most of that time consisted of me walking by it every morning with a guilty look in my eye. I was putting off doing the tile, because first I had to measure it, which is bad enough by itself, and then I had to cut it, which I found out I’d have to have done professionally, because my little “score ’n’ snap” device was actually doing more of a “score ’n’ shatter” action. So while I was trying to ignore the fact that the tile had to be done, the bathroom spent weeks just sitting there. But finally I got off my lazy bottom and had the tile cut, and then last weekend I glued everything down and put in the grout. Last night my brother-in-law came over and we rejoiced with much installing of fixtures. We were going to celebrate with a steak dinner, but that plan kind of went out the window when we didn’t finish until ten at night.

So now we have a new bathroom with a new tub, new floor, new sink, new toilet – new everything, pretty much. And it only took two months! One week of work, and seven of procrastinating.

And next comes the master bath…

Awesome tile work, I don't care where the TP is, it's just beautiful! Wish I had done tile.
