Steve DeGaetano had a couple of good articles up at Mice Age last month. They dealt with the history of the Frontierland train station at Disneyland. How it began as a movie set, then it was given to one of the studio animators (Ward Kimball) for use on his backyard railroad, then when Disneyland was being built Ward wouldn’t give it back so they had to replicate it for the park. There is a lot of good stuff here, so go read Part One and Part Two.
