Vintage Disneyland

natureswonderland.jpg

Since I’m on a Disneyland kick anyway, I want to throw in a link to Daveland. Or, I should say, the Daveland empire. This guy Dave runs no less than five sites devoted to Vintage Disneyland pictures. He has his main site, Daveland, which is full of Vintage and modern pictures from all over Disneyland. Then he has four blogs that he runs. Three of them are specific to one attraction: Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribean, and Jungle Cruise, featuring artwork and photos from the rides. And the fourth blog is the Daveland Blog, in which he regularly posts vintage slides from all over the park. Great stuff, all of it. Like the photo above, of Nature’s Wonderland from 1966. Nature’s Wonderland used to be in Frontierland; you would pass through it if you took the pack mules or the mine train. In the late 70s it was all bulldozed and Big Thunder Mountain built in its place.
