Google Reader Comes Up Blank

I had a problem recently where my Google Reader page came up blank in Firefox, with nothing on the page. Nothing I did had any effect on it, so I went searching and found the solution here:

How to Fix Empty Google Reader Feeds in Firefox

  • Go into Tools/Options:
  • Click on the Clear Now… button:
  • Go to the Privacy tab
  • Select the check boxes Cache and Authenticated Sessions (and clear the others):
  • Click on the Clear Private Data Now button.
  • Close and reopen all your Firefox windows.
  • You should now be able to see the contents of your Google Reader feeds.

And everything works great now!

I’ve been having this problem too, and I’ve tried this. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Regardless, one shouldn’t need to clear the cache every time one loads Reader.
