Firefox 3 Released
Today is Firefox Download Day, marking the release of Firefox 3. The new version of the web browser was released today, and as a promotional stunt, the Mozilla people are trying to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most software downloads in 24 hours. All you have to do to help out is go to www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord and download Firefox 3. Unfortunately, the promotion may have turned out to be too popular. I can’t reach the site at all right now; there are so many downloads that it’s killing their servers.
So keep checking back during the day, and if you get a chance grab the new browser. And if you don’t, well, maybe when Firefox 4 comes out they’ll get some better servers.
